Media engines can provide session objects for creating and managing RTP audio and video streams.
Sessions provide a list of supported payloads for sending and receiving streams. Receiving streams choose an appropriate stream decoder based on the payload ID in the RTP headers.
Audio streams send audio captured from the active audio input, and output received audio to the active audio output. DTMF events may be sent over audio streams either as overlaid tones or as separate RTP packets with the telephony-event payload.
Sending video streams capture video from a Qt Extended camera device, and receiving video stream output video to a Qt Extended video surface.
Qt Extended supports streaming and progressive downloading of audio and video through an integrated MediaEngine.
