Functional Description

The build system is responsible for configuring and building Qt Extended in the various incarnations it has. It is also responsible for building third party applications (via SDK or build/source tree).

Build System

• Build Qt (host), Qt Embedded (target) and Qt Extended as a single product.
• Allow dependencies to be specified in the .pro files (easier maintenance of this information).
• Create an image directory that can be used to run Qt Extended (ie. all the Qt/Qt Extended files required are present).
• Build packages for third party applications.
• Build a binary SDK for third parties to build against.

QBuild build tool

QBuild is a mostly-compatible replacement for qmake and make, but has much better support for SDK's and can keep better track of code dependencies.
